Seattle Police Captain comments on WTO movie

When Seattle's downtown streets erupted in chaos on Nov. 30, 1999, Jim Pugel was the police captain overseeing frontline cops standing to protect World Trade Organization delegates and the city.
Now an assistant chief and one of the highest-ranking Seattle police officers to have experienced the WTO protests, Pugel attended Thursday's red-carpet premiere of "Battle in Seattle" at the Seattle International Film Festival. |

Capitol Hill Art Center Plans to Move

After five years at its original location, the Capitol Hill Arts Center (CHAC) will move by June 30, when its present lease ends.
CHAC did not exercise an option to renew its lease for its site at 1621 12th Ave., where the for-profit cultural organization has been presenting an array of events such as plays, cabaret shows, all-ages raves, plus subletting spaces to other tenants. |
